Bright Birthday

Hello Crafters!

It's Kelly here and I'm sharing a fun bright birthday card using lots of tiny images!

I love using tiny images to add details to cards and Create A Smile has a ton of fun ones. I couldn't resist using some to decorate these cute little packages.

I started by stamping the packages in Memento Tuxedo Black ink because it's copic friendly. Next I used post its to mask off each  package as I worked on it. It was so nice not to have to cut masks! Sine these are simple shapes a straight edge is all you need to mask :)  I stamped several different images on various packages or used the straight line included in the set to create stripes. I colored the images with copic markers and then outlined them using a copic multiliner. A little bit of shading around the boxes helps give it some dimension. I stamped the sentiment directly over my image and then used a white gel pen to trace around the edge helping it pop. I also added some details with it. It's a pretty simple one layer card but the bright colors really help it make a big impression :)

Just because an image isn't large doesn't mean it isn't useful. Look at what's in your stash and see if you can find a way to enhance it. Pairing tiny images with a large open stamp is an easy way to give it a completely different look!

There's only two days to link up your creations in the sidebar for a chance to win some goodies. Want another chance? Create A Smile is a sponsor in the Fall Coffee Lover's Blog hop too :)
